FUNDRAISING IDEAS

  • Compete in a challenge event to raise money. Try involving friends, family and colleagues! Run the London Marathon
  • Do a challenge of a lifetime – do a parachute jump
  • Organise sponsorship and push yourself out of your comfort zone - sit in a bath tub of baked beans for a day!
  • Can you face 24 hours of not speaking?
  • Contact local celebrities to donate
  • Contact your local newspaper, television or radio station and tell them your child’s Footsteps story
  • Host a quiz evening in your local pub. Charge entry for each team and get prizes donated
  • Host an auction of promises from dog walking to mowing the lawn of everyone in your street. Offer to do odd jobs in the neighbourhood. Or even auction someone else’s skills (with their permission of course!). Get lots of publicity.
  • Have a collection box at your local school, church or shop
  • Hold a fancy dress party to raise money
  • Organise a charity football match, or a golf day at your local club
  • Ask your work for a corporate donation
  • Cook a meal and ask for donations according to how much they think it was worth in comparison to a meal in a restaurant!
  • Host a party, BBQ or coffee morning and organise a raffle.
